1. Data We Collect
WalkSmart collects information you provide when creating an account (name, email, school/district), classroom walkthrough notes, voice recordings, and observation data you record in the app. We also collect basic usage analytics to improve the product.
2. How We Store Your Data
All data is stored securely in our backend infrastructure powered by Supabase, with encryption at rest and in transit. Voice recordings and walkthrough records are isolated per principal/district using Row Level Security so only authorized users can access their data.
3. Email Communications
We use Resend to deliver transactional emails — including teacher walkthrough summaries, account verification, and product updates. Email content is generated from the data you submit and is sent only to recipients you designate.
4. Payment Processing
Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers — Stripe is PCI-DSS certified and processes all payment information directly. We retain only the minimum metadata required to manage your subscription.
5. Your Rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. Contact us to request a full data export or full account deletion. We do not sell your data, and we do not use student-identifiable information for advertising.
